Some Case Studies
Hotels (Marival Residences & World Spa Luxury Resort, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts)
A popular 48,000 sq ft hotel with over 100 rooms in Houston, Texas, is constantly exposed to temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, extreme humidity, and abundant rain year-round. The architecture is accentuated by the design of the roof, exterior walls, and extravagant windows which, if untreated, lose their modern appeal due to stains and discoloration. NanoProtech is used to save the hotel hundreds of thousands of dollars annually in maintenance costs by protecting painted areas, elevator interiors, HVAC units, and any metal elements from oxidation and deterioration over time. Outdoor point-of-sale systems are treated to protect them from the elements.
Arenas and Stadiums
A stadium over 500,000 sq ft suffers continuous wear and tear on floors, seats, walls, and restrooms from the combined force of over 60,000 fans and their beverage and food spills. Despite thorough cleaning after each game, these surfaces deteriorate without protection. Nano Protech was used to reduce cleaning time after each game while revitalizing and protecting surfaces from future wear each season.
Food Production Plant
A 192,000 sq ft potato chip production plant regularly faces production delays due to slowdowns or breakdowns in the mechanisms of complex production equipment, resulting in increased labor and service costs, capacity inefficiencies, and missed deliveries. Nano Protech is used on all equipment, mechanisms, and circuits, including conveyors, pumps, mixers, ovens, pipes, and washers, improving operational efficiency and increasing net profit.
Wireless Technology
A New York mobile phone reseller sells thousands of phones monthly with services from the country’s major carriers. As consumer preference for e-commerce increased during the Covid-19 pandemic, the retailer turned to Nano Protech to combat declining sales. The store differentiated its products by promoting phones, tablets, laptops, batteries, routers, wearables, and electronic accessories that come with one year of guaranteed protection against water damage and bacteria with a replacement offer.
Breweries
An 855,000 sq ft brewery produces millions of gallons of beer annually. Beer production causes corrosion and damage to all equipment, including kettles, barrels, boilers, bottling and canning lines, conveyor belts, refrigeration systems, storage and fermentation tanks, filters, beer labeling machines, pipes, cooling and cleaning equipment, waste treatment systems, and tap handles. Additionally, millions of ounces are considered spoiled due to dripping onto the floor, requiring constant cleaning and restoration. Nano Protech is used on the exterior of all metal production equipment.
Bridges
A large bridge in the northeastern U.S. has been subjected for decades to harsh, snowy winters, humid summers, constant winds, and salty ocean air, requiring annual maintenance to prevent rust and corrosion that had become an eyesore for the citizens of a historic city. Nano Protech was used to coat the entire bridge, which now costs the city only 30% of what it spent on maintenance before the annual application of Nano Protech.
Restaurants
A national fast-food chain with over 200 locations has a wide variety of metal surfaces and equipment that require maintenance, spare parts, and manufacturer overhauls every few months. After testing Nano Protech in several stores, the brand has expanded the use of Nano Protech to all its locations and has reported a significant decrease in operating costs and capital expenditures, as well as a decrease in labor costs due to less cleaning time required on resistant surfaces.
Automotive Manufacturing
A major global automotive manufacturer had an ongoing supply chain problem because metal parts often arrived at facilities partially corroded and could only be used as scrap, leading to sales delays. Metal parts came from Asia and spent a long time stored in shipping containers, where they were exposed to UV oxidation, humidity, and salt. The automotive company began using Nano Protech and no longer has the same inventory management problems in meeting sales targets.
Submarines
A global submarine manufacturer produces submarines ranging from 48,000 to 70,000 sq ft and over 15,000 tons for the world’s national militaries. Before they are fully manufactured and sold, submarines can spend months waiting for parts and final production stages. During this time, their metal and electronic surfaces are subjected to ultraviolet light and moisture oxidation, leading to corrosion. Crucial operational parts on the exterior of each submarine include radio antennas, periscopes, sonars, weaponry, and propellers, while the control room, navigation technology, and turbine and engine rooms must be protected internally. After years without the right solution, the company chose Nano Protech to prevent corrosion and protect its assets from depreciation before being sold and delivered to different militaries.
